Subject: ram and rom (please help me!!!)
Comment:

I have lost a setup disk for a epson 386 sx+
my friend has setup installed on rom instead of on a disk, I was wondering if anybody knows how to copy the rom from his motherboard to a disk so I can run setup
I am desperate, If I don't fix this computer I loose a free pentium II in a month

there is now way that I am aware of to do this, however if you have internet access, go to epson's website and see if they have the drivers there.

There are some generic setup programs available. Read all the cautions on the web page about using it before you try it out! Here is one site with a generic setup download.

Good luck,

For System Disk or User Information.

If you have an Equity 386SX Plus it has an Internal ROM Setup (I think)

I can email to you a self extracting zip file of the setup disk for Epson obsolete computers. Let me know if you still need it.
