I need to get qbasic version 1.0 because I accidentally deleted it. Newer versions will not work on my very old 386.

It wont work because you have older version of DOS.... Try look for DOS 6.x disks and install them... Earlier versions like 5 comes with Qbasic and some demo scripts while newer ones just simply have qbasic so you can use the DOS editor (mostly at least) ...
