Hi, I am looking for a reference disk fora PS/2
8580-A31 which I am selling. I also need a disk to format the scsi drive. Thankyou
Any help would be great

I found a MS DOS 6.22 boot floppy etcetc in
WinImage formate here:

FIISK Says "No Fixed Disk Present"

The CMOS battery is dead so Im getting the "options not set" error code on boot if that would make a difference.

I didnt actually know you could use fdisk on scsi drives

YES, FDisk will do, though usually most
SCSI Controllers have a Low Level Format
Utility, it should be on the Reference
Diskette, but you need to change the BIOS
battery first!

This is getting into the realms of a
HARDWARE question!

Yes it is, Should I see how much further I can go!!
No, Ill go and post in the hardware forum as I think the battery rpoblem may be a loose connection and not a dead battery. Cheers

People i got troubles with reference disks... they r nowhere to be found... links r dead... Non the less i have a set of 3 of those computers or somewhat similar i will gladly exchange an image of the reference disks for a batery and a speaker (if they work)...
