Hi, I am looking for a reference disk fora PS/2 8580-A31 which I am selling. I also need a disk to format the scsi drive. Thankyou Any help would be great Cheers

FIISK Says "No Fixed Disk Present"
The CMOS battery is dead so Im getting the "options not set" error code on boot if that would make a difference.
I didnt actually know you could use fdisk on scsi drives

YES, FDisk will do, though usually most SCSI Controllers have a Low Level Format Utility, it should be on the Reference Diskette, but you need to change the BIOS battery first!

Yes it is, Should I see how much further I can go!! No, Ill go and post in the hardware forum as I think the battery rpoblem may be a loose connection and not a dead battery. Cheers

People i got troubles with reference disks... they r nowhere to be found... links r dead... Non the less i have a set of 3 of those computers or somewhat similar i will gladly exchange an image of the reference disks for a batery and a speaker (if they work)...
