i have a very very boring chore to do and it involves a lot (!) of ctrl-c and ctrl-v... Now i'm trying to create shortcuts by programming the multimedia keys on my keyboard. My thoughts were to write two batch files that sort of executes "CTRL-C" and "CTRL-V".
Can somebody help me please? my batchprograms don't seem to work. (It's been a while...) Or does anybody have any better ideas? I'd reallly really appreciate any help.
Thanx!

I may be wrong but I believe multimedia keyboards programmed keys are stored in a special part of the windows keyboard handler that is not used in DOS. They use to be keyboards in which you could program either special keys or the function keys. I had a keyboard that had 2 sets of 12 function keys. The ones above the keyboard was standard, but the set to the left of the keyboard (original IBM-PC style) was user programable. The was also a company that made an auxiliary keyboard that fitted above the function keys that was totally programable.
Another possibility is using an editor that has modified keyboard functions.
I just re-read your header. You're in the wrong forum. This is suppose to be old DOS not NT command prompt.
Your best bet is to find an editor with a redefineable keyboard.
My initial comment may be wrong, you may be able to use a multimedia keyboard, if you are not in DOS.

yes i know i was in the wrong forum, but i didn't get an answer in the programming section. and because i thought it would be possible through an executable batchprogram is why i asked here...
my bad ;-)
But still if one of you might have some ideas i would be very grateful because i'm developing rsi at the moment haha

You said you didn't get an answer in the Programming Forum, but have you tried posting it in the NT Forum? The DOS Forum is defintely an off-topic forum for your question.
