Program too big for memory

Hello I am running windows xp currently. I have this porgram/ Game It is approximately 283mb. It runs in dos and is a game. It is a ace program. It says "Tropico.ace.2.exe" I Tried to open it in ms dos command prompt but it said the "program was too big to fit in memory". How can i open this program. Please help. Is there a program to open the game.

Usually when you get this message it means that the program file loaded on your computer is corrupted. When this happens, Windows finds no end to the file and just fills available memory until there is none left.

check your autoexec.bat file and see how much stuff you are loading during bootup. I suggest you comment out everything additional except what you need. then reboot your computer and give it a shot.
