Steve,

I take it your installation of Windows is hosed, you want to reinstall it, but you've lost your CD key. No worries.

Here's what you do.
Download my DOS regedit tool from my briefcase at http://briefcase.yahoo.com/michdaugh
Download Registrar and run it to create a boot diskette. Boot the computer with the diskette and edit the registry. Search for the word ProductID. The value of that key lists your Windows 98 Product Key. If you are having problems with your windows installation you may also want to run the scanreg function to see if that will repair it. Also since you are running windows 98, you may want to restore an earlier backup of the registry.

Hope that helps,
-Michael
