Problem with a msbackup

I must to recover a backup file (10 Mega) -CC80809A.001 from a zip driver
because the hardisk is fall (something has formated the hardisk).
I haven't anything of my past information...(no catalogs)...only the backup
how i can recover this.
What steps i need to recover the all information?

PLEASE, IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but it seems to me that you could use Restore.exe or Restore.com to put files back. It should be included with dos. If I remember correctly the command was something like: (presuming dos is available in c:\dos)
example:
c:\dos\restore a: c:
