problem for restore DOS Backup

I have floppy disk with MS-DOS backup files : CONTROL.00i and BACKUP.00i ... made by a user in 1994 (!) I try to restore them with MS-DOS 6.22 RESTORE.exe command => It doesn't work. I make a SCANDISK over floppy => all good.

If it was made with the old DOS backup program (the name escapes me at the moment) and was compressed... It can't be restored using the restore command. The old backup program will still run under 6.22 so... If I can find it I'll get back to you.

Try www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk he has full msbackup progtam on his dos page and correct bootdisk on his bootdisk project page. this should be all you need.
