how do would you check and uncheck the printing spool in DOS from the printer properties under general tab, it is shaded out and you can't check it or uncheck it. ithink that is the problem to not being able to print from DOS program, but at the same time i can print from windows.

Don't understand anything of your question, be more clear.
In DOS you can give the command PRINT or direct to a port like *.txt>LPT1
*.txt>com1

Hi, I think i have the same issue. I run Windows XP but still have a Dos application. It won't print in dos mode, however it does print from windows applications. Even the suggestion *.txt>LPT1 does not result in a print out. What do I need to do to fix this?
