some govenment idiots wants us to print official document with ARIEL font. My problem is: how can I download the ariel font to a laser printer and use it as an extra font the appication is written is DOS so I cannot print true windows drivers

What laser printer do you have?
Some HP laser printers have Arial as a resident font. You will have to send a command string to select it. See HP PCL Printer Language Reference Manual or HP web site Tech Support / Documents.
