OS: DOS 6.22
CPU/Ram: PIII/500 256Mb
Product: PCChips Mobo
Comment:

I have set up a PIII 500 as a dual boot nostalgia gamer with PartMag8 and PQBoot and am having problems with QEMM 9 in the DOS boot. To play Aces of the Pacific I need 612MB of free conventional memory so ran QEMM 9 to get the max without having to create custom config.sys and autoexec.bat files. On the optimization phase, the machine first displays 'invalid system disk' but continues when I hit enter then locks solid as soon as it loads DOSDATA.SYS. I see a brief flash of the PQboot text message then it's black screen till I hit reset. If I rem out DOSDATA.SYS the machine runs but optimization is incomplete.
I am wondering if it is QEMM's quickboot that is causing the problem but can't find documentation on how to disable it.
Any advice appreciated

Post back your config.sys and autoexec.bat.
