You want an operating system?
Your Tandy uses an NEC V-20 (functionally identical to an Intel 8088), which pretty much limits you to PC-DOS, MS-DOS, DR-DOS, or some other flavor of DOS.
For commercial, non-open source, or otherwise "not free" operating systems, such as MS-DOS and PC-DOS, you might try eBay. I ALWAYS see copies of PC-DOS and MS-DOS up for auction.
There's plenty of free DOSes, however. A quick Internet search will turn up several choices you can download for free.
If you just need a boot disk, you might try http://www.bootdisk.com.

would you believe i have a Tandy 1000 desktop computer that still works, e-mail me at (att:Bruce...)cidmon@hotmail.com if you think it may be of value to you, ill pull the hdd and ship it for 20.00 dollers to cover the cost or even the whole computer, less moniter that i gave to my Mom.
