first , if this is a laptop, shut it off, remove the battery and the ac power plug. put power back to the unit and turn on, once in windows put battery back...if not laptop you need to sys the drive with a windows startup disk that windows prompts you to make when you first install windows. you will need one of them for your version of windows. once you have one you need to insert it into the floppy drive and boot the computer with it. once you are at an A: prompt you need to type the following.
sys C: then hit enter
then pull floppy disk out after it says system files transferred then reboot your unit, this applies also if its a laptop

One time someone said they got the error "not enough memory" and asked if anyone knew where to download some memory for their computer. As with them, you as the wrong questions. Go to http://www.bootdisk.com/ and download a bootdisk that is the same version of DOS as your system has on it. Boot up with the disk and type
SYS C: hit the enter key then type
DEL C:\CONFIG.SYS Then reboot without the disk in the floppy drive and that should have cleared up any problems you have had.
