I accidentaly shut my computer off with the prgram that says, "Start computer with MS DOS". and now i cant get my computer to work. Can somebody please help me. It always starts with the computer sayin that there is a problem with the mouse connection, but the mouse is properly connected. How can i fix this problem???

Have you tried using a different mouse? And have you tried the mouse that's supposedly bad on another computer?

Mouse not connected is often Microsoft shorthand for you've been doing no no's. If there is nothing real causing the malfunctioning mouse, you have encountered an anti pirating penalty. About all you can do is reformat and reinstall. One thing for sure. Exiting to real DOS mode and shutting off the computer didn't do this.

Mo...Do you mean the computer really does not work at all or do you mean that when you turn the machine on you get a blank screen with C:\> if so just type EXIT and the machine will restart in Windows. If this is the case the mouse will again work. If you mean that the machine is really dead this has nothing to do with how you shut down.
