Just as an update Joe managed to get a retail copy of PFS Windows Works. Good work Joe.

Hopefully it will fullfill his needs.

By the way he wanted to get First Choice data
on an HP inkjet.

I know someone that is having trouble
running First Choice with their new Windows XP machine. Is this possible or should the
original First Choice files be converted to
MS Access? Thnx

It took me about 5 years to find a copy of Window Works which is the Windows Version and will convert the PFS First Choice Files to the Windows Program. However it will not convert mine as apparently I have First Choice Vers 3, but it is an upgrad of version 1, so it won't work. I guess I can purchase a program to do the conversion, but it costs $129. Good luck!

Hello,

I'm sort of running into the same problem that some of you guys are. I'm running First Choice 2.0 (the dos version) and when I go
to save the table as a .csv file it cuts off the larger strings. Now, a company called
Advanced Computer Innovations(www.acii.com) makes a program to convert the files.
The problem here is that I'm working at
a non-profit museum and cannot afford the $129 price tag for the museum.
If anyone has the full version program to do this and could give it to me it would bemost helpful.

I really don't feel like coding a program
to do this by myself, because I don't have the time.

Thanks,

Jon Gardner

Hi,
The problem I am running into is not being able to print First Choice to a Lexmark Z53 colorprinter. The printer prints everything else fine. I am running XP Pro and recently bought the new printer. With the same computer my old HP ActionLaser 1100 printed from First Choice well. Any suggestions? I have spent 3+ hrs on the phone with Lexmark support without success, although the LM tech suggested possibly importing the FC data into MS Works or MS Access. Has anyone done this successfully? I am nervous about trying something that may cause me to loose data.
