Pcmcia is a very touchy thing on laptops
Whay You need to do is make sure that You have pccard services installed on the computer i'm not sure about win 3.11 and how it acts on a lap top but with 95 there is a lot of different things that play a part the registry is a solid on i could use a bit more information like what kind of cdrom is it external i'm assumeing but what manufacturer as well do You have pc card services of any kind on there if not You really need to look into getting it so You can interface with the pcmcia slots.. l8tr.
