The current version of GeOS is NewDeal Office. Very nice. If anybody has a copy of PC GeOS hanging around, it's bound to be one of the dinosaurs over at ClassicComp.org, just sign up to the mailing list and ask.

Thanks DOOF I know about and have NDO 3.2a.
I was just interested if any other forum users used it.

I asked the owner of this site if he was interested in
a PC Geos/NDO area but was declined.

This site would be a good area to give this great little
GUI some much needed exposure.

After all what other Gui that is still produced
runs on a 286 with 1 meg of Ram and 10Mb of
HD space with a proper word processor plus
a lot of other goodies

I've got Ensemble Pro and New Deal Office 3.2a. It's seems a shame that great software like this doesn't go as far as it should because of marketing muscule. Just loaded Pro on my Celery 400 with Win95a and man does it fly :).

Imagine if MS took a step backwards and came up with a product like this. Tightly coded, no virus probs with docs etc.

I beleive NDO2000 is soon to be released.

Dear Peer,

How much would you charge me for a copy of the Original GeoWorks v1.2 package? Mine are on 5 1/4 diskettes and are now almost completely unreadable. I would like the copies made on a CD or on 3 1/2 disks.

I tried installing from them and got as far as diskette #4. Please get back to me ASAP with a price.

Really, New Deal provides the 1st rank software able to reanimate old PCs. I have a 486 laptop with only as much as 4 megs RAM and using windows is awfully slow. So I was head above heels with the New Deal 3.2a until I found out that NDO2000 is the last version, but it's price is almost $100. And my wages are abot 60-70 USD per month, what can I afford myself? (that's rethorics). If anyone of you knows a link to NDO2000 free download, please, be so kind as to inform me. and... I know it sounds far not shy, but if there's such a generous person among you who can help me to get it, may be you could email it to me (silly, isn't it). Still thanks to NEWDEAL for providing their perfect suit for us.
Sincerely,
Gismo
P.S. In Russia we have an abundance of old PCs.
