I've been tinkering around with my refurb'd Compaq Armada M300 (no CD-ROM). I was going to load up win98 onto it by means of using the network through DOS to get to my other comp. I pretty much got everything I needed like the pc card driver and MS workgroup connection for my network client. The only prob is I can't get the pc card slot to work in DOS. I combed compaq's website and it doesn't look like they have a driver for that. Any ideas? I guess I may just have to break down and do things the easy/slow way and get a laplink cable.

You have to have PCMCIA drivers loaded in the config.sys file in order for DOS to be able to use your PCMCIA port.

open the PCMCIA page and take a look.
