Comment: Hello everyone (excuse my spelling!) Im trying to find a decent DOS disk partitioner, one which can function much in the manner of Partition Magic or similar, not erasing the data when you resize it. Ive tried all my copies off demo disks but they don't read my Win98 Fat32x partition. Its just im sick of DOS 7.00 and would like a Win 98 / DOS 5.00 + Win 3.11 / Basic Linux triple boot system. Any ideas? IBM

Reply: (edit)try http://www.igd.fhg.de/~aschaefe/fips/ and see if this meets your needs. Be sure to check the readme docs.

Reply: (edit) Yes, can't you use the boot or rescue DOS disks you can make from within Partition Magic?

Reply: (edit)Try using Fips, this will split your dos partition without data loss creating 2 primary dos partitions, then use Ranish to change the format. I generally like to use the startup disks to boot other op systems in case I want to remove them you don't have to alter your boot record
