Comment:

the Dos command prompt is locked out of my network- only the administrator may use it. I must use it, but anytime i have asked him to unlock it he has declined. Is there any way i can open it without it saying "locked by the administrator"?
thanks for any help given

Not really a "DOS" question - the command line in XP is an emulation.

Maybe try asking in the XP forum.

NO - If thats why the administrator wants it. To bypass his wishs may be a violation of your users aggreement.

If you must use it - Tell him why you need it, and what you intend to do with it.

Otherwise you are on your own.
