I'm looking for a program that i used to have long, long time ago in my first 286 computer. I remember only that i had to run it before i shut down the computer and it had something to do whit the hard drive and preventing damage to it. I mean a old hard drive (not IDE).

You're talking about "park".
This would park the read/write head at
the end of the HD.

I'll check around here and see if I still
have it on an old floppy.

YES!!! that's it, i was only 9 when i had that computer and after that i've only owned "modern" computers. So....

But thank you very much, at least i know what to look for
