Old 386 GRiDCASE 1550sx

A freind gave me the old laptop cause it needed a new hard drive and I just happend to have a good 120MB Conner that was the same.
I replaced the hard drive and formatted it.
Now It cant access the a: drive and It gives the message "error loading operating system" and I cant figure out how to get into the systems CMOS.
when you first turn on the power it says "Phoenix 80386 Rom Bios Plus Version 1.10 00 4/22/91"then asks me to strike F1 to try reboot thats with or with out a boot disk in the a: drive, then the error message.
Can anyone help me please?

I've one gridcase 1550sx but i not have the hard disk. Where hard disk for this?

Also have a GRIDCASE 1550sx, and cannot get it to boot... Any ideas...
Get the BOOT ERROR: No system file msg when trying to boot the machine.
