Why do I have a Nuke Bat in my MSDOS?? Is it something I need or can I delete it?? If so how do I delete it?? thanks

Okay, I did that and copied what it said....
@echo off
:: You may delete this file
DELTREE /Y c:\UBD1
for %%v in ("prompt $e[m" "echo on" cls) do %%v
exitCan I really delete this without anything not working in my computer?? The reason I'm so leery right now, is I just had the YAHA worm. What do you say? Thanks

This file will delete the ubd1 sub-directory on c:, if it exists. As for the variables, can't say. Secret_Doom (for one) would know, he'll be along shortly.

It depends on what's in it and its use (if any). It's not a normal windows directory. (Ultimate Boot Disk?) You can check the contents of your c:\config.sys and c:\autoexec.bat files and see if its called in either of those (I doubt it). Also, you could open a dos window and type in;
dir/a/w/o c:\ubd1>c:\subdir.txt
then exit dos and post the contents of c:\subdir.txt here.

I've only been able to read and reply to this message by now. It's old already, but since my name have been mentioned so many times, I decided to reply.
Let's see the line:
for %%v in ("prompt $e[m" "echo on" cls) do %%v
That is the same as:
prompt $e[m
echo on
clsThat makes nothing great. Something with the prompt command, not sure what, something with the DOS font (the letters and all that) but it's nothing great, then turns the ECHO on (which is not necessary) and clears the screen (cls).
All the batch does is delete the folder ubd1 located at c:\ (if it exists), that's all. I see no warm in deleting it (delete it at your own risk).
