Doshell (One S) was a first generation Graphic Interface, first introduced with MS-DOS 4.0 From it you could View , Create and Delete Directories, Rename Files, and much more. Much in the same way as Windows 3.1 File Manager, Without having to use or remember DOS Commands. It was dropped from MS-DOS 6.2 onwards, but is still available as part of the MS-DOS Supplimental Files.

As far as I know NT can use Doshell from the DOS Prompt, but I have never tried it, or found a need to.

You can get a DOS command prompt in NT by looking under start menu for "Command Prompt." If you can't find it, select START/RUN, and type 'command' and press OK. You will get a DOS prompt. Type 'EXIT' to close the window.
NT DOS is not a good prompt--very limited as far as memory goes. You can't run very large DOS programs under NT. And you can't "reboot" to a DOS prompt like Windows 95/98.
