if you want to network them to other os's you need wfw 3.11, it is really easy, download tcp/ip 32b fron microsoft and install the protocal, pretty straight forward just setup the other ps's in the normal tcp/ip method. email if you have further questions.

What or where does WfW 3.11 come into this he states he has "4 pc`s of DOS v 6.0".

FYI: You can use a DOS PC FAT16 16bit O/S and use it as a Server for Windows 3.x to XP, so NO, using GUI software as you suggested is pointless, see:

Apart from memory limitions when running NWC3, for an M$ product it aint to bad, the earlier version called M$ LAN Manger ran under OS/2 as well, up to Warp3.

Hi,
I might be jumping the gun here... but I obtained the TCP/IP software for Wfw 3.11, and although it was quite a long time ago, I'm sure I remember it was set up entirely within DOS... if I am correct, can this software not be used on a DOS-only machine? Failing that, I do know that networking has been around longer than Windows, so there must be a method.
