We have two computers running win98 and connected through a router. Network is fine. I have a dos program running on one omputer. I did share out the dos printer. I did map the harddrive on it the dos program is running to the local disk on the other one which I want to run the same dos program. The same dos program are running on both computers fine right now. The second computer runs the dos program through the net mapped drive. The dos printer is installed to the first computer through the LPT1(parell). The second computer has its own local printer with printer port LPT1(parell). Then I installed the dos printer as networked on the second computer. We can use the dos program direct to print to the networked dos printer on both computers. At first 10 days it did work fine. One day the shared dos program couldn't run on the second computer. After a few try, we restart the computer. The dos program can start but the networked dos printer. Since then the dos program allways use the local printer but the networked dos printer. This is what I do not want since the file sharing and dos print format. I have tried uninstall the dos printer from second computer. No luck at all. I even unpluged the local printer from the second computer. Now I have got a msg said: error, failed to print to PRN. Anyone has any idea? I am realy appreciated.

There is a special program for support printing from DOS applications on any kinds of printers include winprinters, USB-printers, network printers, print servers etc. DOSPRN work at Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP.
Also DOSPRN support Epson and HP PCL Esc-sequences emulation, multiple international codepages, landscape/portrait printing, text color manipulation, absolute positioning and many other features
