I would like some info on how to use NET SEND and how to send messages on the network...I have seen it done but I have tryed and I failed..someone please help!

well how to net send is simple, sometimes it just doesn't work on some systems,i'm not quit sure but i don't think it works w/ win98, but anyway, the way it works it u type... > net send ip message> u need to find thier ip adress, then u incert it where i put ip, then u type ur message, this won't work for everyone, it won't work if they have a firewall

It works but the reciving machine has to be in the same network and must have Windows 9x,NT,200,XP and WinPopup installed.

net send can be used in any environment as long as a messenger service is running on the destination computer. Natively, NT, 2000, and XP all have the Windows Messenger Service installed and running as a default setup. Windows 9x needs winpopup to be running......NT, 2000, and XP do not need winpopup.
