i'm not sure what version the disks were backed up with, but the extension is .001
there is a file backup.001, and control.001
i'm running win989 now. can you help me? please

I have the same problem

I have two floppy disks with old DOS backups
the files in the disks are:

1.floppy: backup.001 1,42 Mb
control.001 4 kb
cpav.rpt 0 kb

2.floppy backup.002 900 kb
control.002 19 kb
cpav.rpt 0 kb

I have Win 98 now
I thougt the DOS commands to restore backups was: restore a:
but it doesn´t work in the DOS-promt

How do I get my old data ?
Can anybody help me?
