Need MS-DOS 5.0 emailed right away. Working on a borrowed older laptop and internal battery battery went dead and wiped out everything. Don't have software. HELP!!!

Downloaded Ver 5 from www.kewlone.com but disk 1 will not boot - 'Incorrect Dos Version' or 'bad or Missing Command Interpreter". Overwriting IO.SYS/MSDOS.SYS does not make it work. Any suggestions welcome.
