IBM's original site (ftp://ftp.pc.ibm.com/pub/pccbbs) is no longer around. Suggest you try this:

ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/refdisks/rf5565a.exe

The CMOS battery for the PS/2 8565 is inside the TOD (Time Of Day) module plugged into the system board. IBM FRU# 8509237 It is about one inch long and 5/8 inch wide and high and is a dark black plastic package with the markings "DALLAS" on it.

It is not an external battery mounted on the speaker assembly like the PS/2 8560 was.

This page will show you additional information about it and which other PS/2 systems used the same part, as well as what valid replacement parts are. Searching for 8509237 will also give you other links and information (most of it old and out of date), but I do recall seeing some of these replacement parts at a Radio Shack store about a year ago.

I've had a couple of Dallas modules which I was able to (in a desperate move) pop the top off of the module and remove the coin-cell batteries. Soldering a "AAA" battery pack to the pins made it usable again, but unless you're pretty experienced with a soldering iron (and desperate), I wouldn't recommend it...
