This file is corrupt on an old 486. I am going to reformat the harddrive and start over, but format.com is corrupt, and I can not move it to the bootdisk to accomplish this. I tried replacing it with format.com from Dos 6.22, but it will not work as I get an incorrect DOS version error.
If anyone has this file, or can point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated. The file for Dos 6.2 has a 1993 date.

Thanks for all the help to those that responded. Even with the new file I still had problems, I suspect there was more corrupt files somewhere.
I ended up doing an install with a set of 6.22 discs, it completely removed the 6.2, and loaded itself in fine. I built my boot disk, did the format c:, then reloaded. All is working okay now, thanks again.
