I have a Toshiba Libretto 100ct laptop. I'm looking for the dos drivers for an Eiger Labs
pcmcia serial card, which would allow me see the card on my laptop while running under dos 6.2.

May the Doofus enlighten the rest of us on how this site would help in getting the DOS driver for Eiger Lab pcmia SERIAL card. I just don't see the driver listed, or am I missing something.

Well documentation I have says that there are no DOS drivers for eiger pcmcia serial cards.... Here is what 's writtenwith documentation I got with my card:

DOS and Windows 3.x Installation..
The EigerMedia PC Card Serial Adaptor does not have a point enabler that enables the card in DOS/Windows 3.x. Instead, Card and Socket Services, which are installed by your laptop manufacturer to enable the socket to accept PC Cards, will configure the Serial card. Please refer to your Card and Socket Services manual for information on how to set the settings to configure this Serial Card as a Communication Port..

So what you need to do is to determine what the cardbus (PCMCIA) controller is for your laptop and then locate a DOS driver for that socket service and then use a product such as CardSoft which is a generic pcmcia controller software product for DOS. Then you should be able to use the Eiger card in DOS.. Now if you are lucky the Cardsoft software may already support your socket controller. If not you will need to locate the DOS drivers for it so that Cardsoft can see your pcmcia slot and then see the Eiger card... Cardsoft can be found at http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/pcmcia.htm

I myself have been on a quest to locate DOS drivers for the Texas Instrument PCI-1250 and PCI-1131 cardbus so that I can use the Cardsoft product but have been unsuccessful so far.. Starting to think that DOS drivers for these do not exist...
