I have NEC PC9821 laptop runs on japanese DOS V3.3(similar to MSDOS3.3, but with BIOS in JDOS) with 351MB hard disk, but its floppy drive is broken. I can't transfer the data out of HDD. also, its seriai RS232C port is non standard 14pin female SCSI type.

hi, i have an idea, i can write for you a very small receiver program, you can put it on your pc via debug instructions, this program will wait for an input from the parallel port, you connect another pc through the paralell port and a senderprogram of mine will send a program like laplink for dos too the laptop. then you can run laplink and transfer all data to the other pc, what do you think about this?

thanks a lot for your suggestion. but unfortunately this laptop doesn't have standard parallel port.parallel port is also similar to the serial one with non standard SCSI type old japanese one, labeled as 'for printer'.
I tried to connect harddrive to another PC , It did identify the HDD but couldn't see the partitioning table (because of JDOS format), hence couldn't read the data.
