OK, all you NDO2000 gurus. I'm at my wit's end trying to connect my DOS/NDO2000 PC to the 'Net. I'm attempting to connect via a Win98 PC acting as my gateway/router. I use Sygate Home Network and it has performed perfectly with my other Win9X PCs on the network.
I've attempted to configure a 3Com 10/100 and now have an NE2000 compatible installed. I know the NICs are working because I can connect the DOS box to a shared drive on the gateway PC. I've installed the NE2000 driver, lsl.com, and even IPXODI.com for good measure. I've got the GEOS.INI configured according to every web site I can find regarding this issue.
I have NDO2000 AND New Deal 3.2A installed on the box and neither one will hit the 'Net. I've double checked the NET.CFG and even attempted to change the IP/ARP settings. No go!
HELP!!

DOS limits you to having one type of network driver installed for NIC cards, whether that be a packet driver or a network driver (I.E. Ethernet). If you're going to use the internet with new deal, don't load the network drivers, only load the packet drivers.. The packet drivers should be on the driver diskette that came with your network card or on the manufacturer's web site. Write back if you need more help.

Finally got it figured out. All I needed to do was first configure a dialup through the Dialup & Configure application inside NDO, then add NO_PIPELINE to the beginning of my NET.CFG. I'm on the 'Net now. Skipper isn't an equal to IE 5.5 or Netscape 4.7X, but for DOS Web browsing, it'll do just fine.
