Hi everyone. This sounds like the right place for what I'm looking for.
I'm trying to create a network boot disk using Bart's Network Boot Disk but they don't have the drivers for the NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller that is installed in my laptop. Has anyone been able to successfully locate the NDIS drivers for this adapter? I've searched high and low and have come up with nothing so far. I tried NVIDIA, Compaq and a bunch of other places. If anyone has a link to a place that I can download the drivers from, I would forever be in your debt.
Thanks....

Unfortunately for you nVidia never wrote any drivers for MS-DOS based O/Ses.
Therefore your only choice is to use a Linux alternative which do have nForce networking support.
Also MS-DOS is too limited for repair of modern Windows NT based O/Ses

Bicephale,
Don't worry. All is forgiven. I hope by the time you see this you may have had your coffee and are in a slightly better mood.
I have tried getting additional information on make/model for this card. I called Compaq support to find out what type of network card it was 4 times. And 4 times they came back with a completely different make/model. I would open it up myself to see what is in this thing but the laptop is a day old and I don't want to void any warranties. With that being said the best information I could come up with is what WinXP's device manager says which is what I posted here "NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller". That's all I could get. Hopefully someone else out there has come across the same issue.
Thank you for the Linux suggestions. I may have to go that route if I can't find the NDIS drivers. I will keep looking for it a little longer.
Thanks.

Hi KingDwight,

Hi Orbital,
My ultimate goal was to create a boot disk to be able to Ghost my laptop to a share on a Windows XP PC. I do not have too much experience with Linux but perhaps you might be able to recommend a Linux based application that I can use to boot on a floppy (or CD) and then image a hard drive to a Windows based PC on my network. If you know of any I would greatly appreciate it. I will begin searching the web for such an app as well.
Thank you for your response.

If at first you don't succeed, you're about average.M2

orbital you're an idiot.
People in a corporate environment can't just use anything they wish. Ghost is widely used and relies on DOS and NDIS drivers.
Also, if you know anything about netware, you'd know it uses IP.. IPX went out the window with your education.
