Hi,
Do they have names? I only thought that dos machines had names if they where part of a network. I know that if you type VOL at the command prompt it will tell you what the hdd is called. You could allways type HELP and this should give you a list of commands.

As Scott advises with dos 6.2x, entering HELP gives a list of commands.

Check out at VOLUME, LABEL and MSD.

Please advise back exactly what you mean by machine name.
