I've been trying for many weeks to get my laptop's cdrom to work so i can reinstall windows. It seems that over this amount if time i have made my system worse and worse. It all started when i accidentally deleted some important files then I couldn't boot pass DOS mode. Ever since then I've been installing everything i can think of into my laptop to try and get the cdrom working. Now it seems that the only devices my system reads is the Floppy Drive A and B. I have no idea what else i can try......any help would be appreciated.

I wasn't aware that i could easy just pull my CDrom from the laptop, i just did this a few mins ago. After i did and looked inside i was that the port that connects to the cdrom was hanging down and was misaligned this the cdrom. I guessing that this could be my cdrom problem. I've taken a few photos of the port after i moved into place around with screw driver. Its kind of dark so i inverted one of the photos.
I'm wondering if the wire or what ever is broken or if it's just lose and it still will work if i can connect it to my cdrom.

Now my D-Drive works fine but my PC still isn't reading my C-hard drive. When i try to install windows it says that i have no hard drive. Is it possible that i could have disconnected my hard drive from being read from the many times i've opened my laptop?
