Comment: Hello, I am wondering if anyone would be able to give me clear instructions on how to get MS-DOS v6.22. I need it for my laptop which has no cd-rom so that I may use the interlink program with my dcc cable to install Windows 98. I have tried to follow some of the other directions, but have gotten stuck. If you can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and please feel free to email me if you wish.

Reply: (edit)I have downloaded all of the items that you have instructed me to. I do not know how to use the program I got from http://www.powerload.fsnet.co.uk/msdos.htm I also downloaded the .zip files that you told me to, and there si only 1 file in each zip. The names look like dos622_d3.imz, what are thses files? Please could you help?
If it isnt any inconveience could you please help me through it. I am usually good with computers, but this is just being a pain.

Reply: (edit)Use WinImage to change the *.imz file to a bootable floppy disk.
www.winimage.com Run winimage, load the *.imz file, put a blank floppy in the floppy drive and recreate a bootable diskette.

Reply: (edit)For the powerload bootdisk type ebd622 a: from the directory on your harddisk that contains the file. it will then copy bootdisk onto new floppydisk. If msdos622 files are in imz format you should not need a bootdisk anyway. Anon

Reply: (edit)Hey thanks a lot for helping me out. I was able to get MS-DOS v6.22 onto my laptop w/o a hitch. I now need to find a way to get it onto my Desktop. When I try to set it up it says I need to get rid of everything on my drive. How can I get around this? I need the interlnk and intersvr programs badly, but I do not feel like putting windows back on my desktop. HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!
