Can you be more specific? You already have a script and want to add a line on a certain position of it, is that it?

If you don't have a script, you're willing to get a file via ftp automatically, visit my FAQ:

Yes,

I already have a script file that works fine. It's job is just to simply connect, download a file and disconnect. The problem is that the name of the file it is supposed to download changes everyday and I want to pass the name of the file in to the script somehow. The whole thing will be called from an MS-DOS batch file which will create the filename to be passed to the ftp script. I went to your site but couldn't tell if the examples apply.

Thanks,

bill
