Hi all
I need a CD Writer in for DOS. I have a laptop does not start windows2k. All repairs have failed. As the user did not back up work criticial data (typical) I need to back up some files. I would like to boot the laptop into DOS and use a DOS Cd-writer, can somebody point me in the correct direction.

You may also have other problems here.
Not all DOS bootdisks access a NTFS partition which is more than likley used by Win2K
Failing the CD Writer route, Think about a LapLink Cable transfer to a second machine.

Another alternative.
Remove the hard drive and install it in another compatible machine and then copy to another drive or burn to CD-R.
