MS-DOS 6.22 does not recognize the FAT32 file system. To use all of the 4.2 GB HDD in MS-DOS 6.22, you must create 2 extended partitions slong with the primary partition, and a logical drive inside of each of the partitions.

The Primary Partition would be the maximum allowable 2GB. The first logical partition would be the full 2 BG limit, and the other logical partition would be 200MB. After you create the partitions and drives in Fdisk, you will need to format each of the partitions. After you are all done with the formatting and partitioning, you will have 3 hard drives, C, D, and E.

After formatting of all HDD's is complete, insert disk 1 of your DOS 6.22 set, and restart your machine. Installation will begin automatically. It will prompt you to insert the ramaining disks as nessesary. Once the installation is complete, it will prompt you to restart your machine. After the machine has booted to the command prompt, insert disk 1 of yoru WFW 3.11 set and type A:\setuo.exe to begin the installation.

Ms-Dos 6.22 cannot reside on a fat32 partition. But Ms-Dos 7.10 can. Also Win For Work will not reiside on a fat32 partition, but there is a patch you can download to make it work. I belive it is at powerloads.

Why do you want fat32 on your under 8.4 Gigabyte harddrive at all? And why involve 6.22 in the mix? What you can do is to use Windows 98 first edition to bridge the gap.
Install MS-DOS 6.22 or format with it. Then install Windows 98 1st ed. on FAT16. Now using Windows 98 you can change each individual logical drive to fat32. (The drive letters you change will be invisible to 6.22 boot disks)

I wanted FAT32 to break the 2gig DOS limit.

Anyway I download DR-DOS 7.03 & FAT32 Driver and it works just fine.

I also have a second drive and I am going to try FAT32 driver and LFNDOS I found at powerload on it.

Thank you all for your help. But fred6008 I did not understand your post at all!
