Hopefully someone knows the answer to this one...i have a Mitsumi Cr-4801 TE CDR drive. I am trying to update the drivers with the firmware for it so the drive can write to 80 min cdr's. I have to use ms dos to type in the 'flash' command. When I do that, I receive the error message in DOS saying 'Error: No Mitsumi drive could be found' How do I get dos to recognize the drive??? I appreciate any help

Yes, you need to install a driver for your
CD in DOS. Get a Win98 Setup Disk, it
should install the CD drivers so you can
run your firmware upgrade.

pay attention! several mitsumi cdrom drivers are not easily recognized by standard W98 setup disk. You may need to download drivers from mitsumi's site
