Hi,
Can somebody help me to write a batch file that can move file attachments from an email to a specific file in my C:\ drive. This is for software updates that I send to my clients.

thanks

You may want to take a look in OE and Outlook and see if there is a message rule that you can set for.

If from a address with a attachment
then copy the attatchment to a folder.

I am not sure if there is a message rule that you can set to D/L the attachment to a folder, but there may be in some of the new OE's and Outlooks.

You may also want to think about using WinRar or WinZip and setting a self extraction to a Designated folder. That way the user will just have to double click on the attatcment in the e-mail.

No need for a Batch File. What John says about Message Rules is indeed possible.

Open Outlook Express, Click Tools, then Message Rules.

As to what a Windows XP problem about e-mail attchments has to do with a DOS Forum however is beyond me!
