moving a folder from one disk to another

I am using the move command in a prompt under W2K to move a folder from one disk to another but it causes the following response
'Access is denied'
And no action is taken.

If the move is made on the same disk it works flawlessly.

I interupted myself :-)
I have already checked that i have rights to access both destination and source drives.

Windows Explorer is easier..Or Copy or Xcopy in DOS.

Yeah I know but it is for scripting purposes and I really need to use the move command.
