I'm trying to install The Dame was Loaded, pc game, and I can't seem to get it to play any sounds, and I noticed a 'low quality dpmi' error message. What the heck does that mean? Please help.

as far as i know, dpmi stands for DOS Protected-Mode Interface, it allows you to run certain protected-mode apps under DOS+286

Do a google search for csdpmi and you'll find the most widely used freeware DOS protected mode interface. Another one frequently used is DOS/4GW, but it is commercial.

cwsdpmi is popular, but it only supports most 32- bit protected mode. Maybe 16-bit protected mode is what's needed. I'm not familiar with the game.
