I inadvertently deleted the speaker icon on the Taskbar, now I cannot use the volume control from there. I am running Windows 98.
Can someone out there please tell me how to get it back. here's hoping.
THANKS....

Sure, first of all, this is the DOS area, not the Windows 9X area, but I will help..

Open up My Computer. Now go to Control Panel. Look for Multimedia and open it. Look for a check box that says "Show volume control on the taskbar.". Make sure you put a check mark in it. If there is already one there, uncheck it. Then push apply. Now check it again. Then push apply. If it does not come, try restarting windows 98...
