I need a copy of SuperCalc to do a file conversion to Excel. If someone has a copy they would share, please e-mail it to me at sidskiba@telus.net. Thanks to anyone who can help.

You didn't say which version, but maybe this can help, some different versions available:

It's only evaluation copies, but may suit the needs.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. CA-SuperCalc is what I am after. 5.0 or 5.5. This is a DOS based spreadsheet program by Computer Associates. They dumped it long ago, but the new programs out there (Excel, Lotus, etc.) do not ready .CAL format files. SuperCalc on tucows is a calculator program.

I used SuperCalc in different versions daily from 1985 to 1991. Best and most userfriendly spreadsheet ever, including Excel IMHO, even though it wasn't WYSIWYG. How Lotus 123 ever could be such a strong competitor has always been a mystery to me.
I am sorry the link wasn't right, I never tried D/Ling it, my bad.
I'll continue to look, but have not too big expectations to find anything.

Good luck
Nigel

I have got it, but it is not easy to e-mail due to the size - any suggestions.

From memory, various tools were provided, such that it could output a spreadsheet which could be used by other applications/spreadsheets. e.g. text or cells followed by fullstops etc.

Good luck - Keep us posted.
