Could someone explain to me about locking\unlocking files or such and give me an example of the syntax I must type to accomplish this,, I can't get undelete to work and was told to either lock the files or my C: drive..THANK YOU

Hi,

Before using Undelete at the C: prompt just type LOCK and then answer YES when asked to confirm locking. Alternatively you can try to use Unerase from Norton Utilities 3.0 and higher for Win9x. This version of Unerase locks and unlocks drive automatically.
