I'm trying to load NetBeui in DOS. I'm running Win98, and I have NetBeui loaded as one of my protocolos under the network properties' configuration. When I restart in MS-DOS mode, and type "lh net start netbeui" or just "net start netbeui", it returns the following error message:

"Error 3659: There is a problem with the NetBEUI protocol. To delete and then reinstall NetBEUI, double-click the Network icon in Control Panel."

I've done this numerous times, and I also re-installed Win98 thinking that the NetBEUI on my computer had an error. But, Is till get the same error message when I try to load NetBEUI in DOS. Any suggections?

Dear Tim,
I believe there may be some security shortcomings with netbuie.
Can I suggest that you check out
