Is there a utility that will show a "progress bar" while a program loads?
I would like to put it in a batch file so that there is a progress bar when a program loads.
If you don't see Luigi don't look for him.

Can't see how you would do that using native DOS commands, or if it's even possible short of recompiling the executable - remember, DOS is a single-task environment.

There is one, I used to have one, but lost it long time ago, The one I'm looking for uses time to show a progress on loading, for example, it takes 60 seconds to load Windows, so you put the program in autoexec.bat and assign 60 seconds to the time limit, it then takes 60 seconds for it to reach 100% which is the time it took to load windows.
I think it came with a mini-windows boot disk, I need to know where to get it.

Mini windows topic just came up recently - look and you'll see it.
You are no longer seem to be talking about DOS, but rather Windows.
Not. the. same. thing.

I think it was either the book 'windows 31 secrets' or one of those shareware dos program compilation CD's that had just such a thing..i recall it used ansi escape sequences somehow but i can't recall exactly what..might want to check some of those old compilations or look at various ansi commands...
Also i think on lightspeed's page there's a link called "floppy size programs' or somesuch...on that page a fella had made something like that, it's called Gauger or so..
